  • Yes! Day passes may be purchased upon arrival, or online by clicking here.

  • Please refer to the Hours of Operation for full details.

    Full day passes allow access from open until close. Guests may leave the waterpark and return during this period, as long as wristbands remain intact.

    Evening passes allow access from 4pm until close.

  • You do not need to stay at our resort to utilize the waterpark. Day passes are available for purchase online, in advance. 

  • No, day passes are not included with your lodging reservation. If you are lodging through Boyne Mountain, The Inn at Bay Harbor or The Highlands, you can use your lodging confirmation code to get 10% off your passes by purchasing online here.

    Day passes and lodging reservations must occur during the same dates. The Stay & Save discount is only valid during your lodging stay and you must book online, in advance.

    Third-party lodging reservations, such as those booked through Expedia and VRBO, are not eligible for the Stay & Save discount.

  • Yes! All guests are required to have a day pass to enter the facility. 

    Don't Want to get wet? No problem. Purchase a spectator pass for only $10 and you will have access to all dry areas of the waterpark facility. Perfect for adults chaperoning kids ages 3 and older. Please note, spectator passes are not valid for those accompanying children age 2 and younger.

    All children, ages 10 years and younger, MUST be accompanied by a ticketed adult, ages 18 and up. 

    Children 2 and younger are FREE!

  • Yes! Our group discounts begin at 15 or more people. For groups of 15 or more people please purchase your passes here.

    Group Passes are subject to blackout dates, including but not limited to Holidays and Spring Break.

    All group passes must be purchased online, in advance and picked up by one group member only.

  • We know that planning crazy family fun can be, well, crazy... which means sometimes plans change! So at Avalanche Bay Indoor Waterpark we’re here for you! If your plans change after pre-purchasing your day pass, no problem. Give us a call at 231-549-7155 at least 48 hours in advance of your day pass arrival date for a full refund of your day pass purchase. If you need to cancel within 48 hours of arrival, you can receive a credit for a future purchase.

    • Children must be under 36 inches tall to be in the Kitz Pool.  The deepest part of Activity Pool is four feet, six inches deep.  
    • There are no restrictions for Splasherhorn. 
    • Riders must be at least 48 inches tall to ride The Big Couloir, the Super-G and Vertigo slides.
    • Riders must be less than 300-pounds to ride The Big Couloir.
    • Riders must be as tall as the boogie board to ride the Rip Zone Surf Simulator. Riders must be at least 7 years old to surf the Rip Zone Surf Simulator. All guests MUST sign a waiver to participate in stand-up surfing.
  • Yes. Complimentary towels are available at the kiosk upon arrival.

  • We always keep Avalanche Bay at a comfortable 84-87° Fahrenheit. 

  • We keep the water comfortable, between 82-85° Fahrenheit.

  • Yes, our lifeguards are certified through Jeff Ellis and Associates. Ellis currently certifies 99% of the world's waterparks.

  • No. State law prohibits the use of glass, coolers, or any carry-in food and beverage in the waterpark or outdoor patio area. Our Après Ski Pub and Snack Shack are a great alternative with something for every appetite.

  • Only Coast Guard approved personal flotation devices will be allowed inside the waterpark. No inflatable rings, mats or toys of any kind are allowed. Approved child flotation devices are provided by Avalanche Bay Indoor Waterpark at no cost. 

  • Swim diapers are required for all non-toilet trained participants and are available for purchase within the park. 

  • All children, ages 10 years and younger, MUST be accompanied by a ticketed adult, ages 18 and up.

  • Yes, and they are encouraged. The only ride that we will require you to remove your water shoes is The Big Couloir.

  • Yes, strollers and wheelchairs are allowed.

  • Yes. We offer 20% off our window rates for active or retired personnel. ID required at time of purchase. Must purchase at waterpark kiosk upon arrival.
